Lagitvan translation:
Lyepsa i krūša.
Lyepsa, pamoteytana krūšu na akas kralas, norēa labprot pameginet, što tan vidū. Krūša tu moneytana sakya: “Dūmin, netrogi meni, toš ka, što men vidū, neba pryeg tivis, aber pryeg šeimena.”
“Nenoiru aš nemal tan trogīt, što neba pryeg menis deitis. Noiruju nur pasmateities, što toikn šeimeni loba smentē.”
Lyepsa gan tak saykiya, aber serdzā dumāja breinu izyēst i krūšu nūskekinēt akā. Viša iebozuse galovu krūšā i lakuse. Aber, breinu yešuot, nadšin azliešien za ūšīn tak, ka, krūšu skekinēyut, paše zatašta akā līdz.
Skekeidane bēdine ludzāns: “Krūšinke, Krūšinke, serdzmeile krūšinke! Aš dumeiju po youkin, i Ti po nu teises!”
Aber krūša atskakeise: “Dūmin, dūmin, serdzmeile dūmin! Aš jau tož pa youkin dareinenos, aber Ti at teises kreich.”
English translation:
The fox and the cup.
The fox, noticing a cup at the edge of the well, decided to try what's inside it. The cup, seeing it said: "Aunty, aunty, don't touch me, because what's inside me is for the master of the house, and not you."
"I don't want to touch what's not meant for me, only to look at what masters like these like to taste." The fox did say that but, in heart, she sought to eat the porridge and sink the cup down the well. She stuck her head inside the cup and ate. But, while eating the porridge, the handle hooked around her ear, so that while sinking the cup, it dragged her into the well along.
Drowning, the poor thing pleaded: "Dear cup, dear cup, oh dear cup! I only meant it as a joke but you thought I was serious!"
But the cup replied: "Aunty, aunty, dear auntie! I'm joking around as well, but you're crying out serious."
Doesn't sound as well in English I think. xD
